We value and cherish the worlds natural resources and believe that being good custodians of our renewable resources is a key component to sustainability, longevity and a healthy environment for future generations to come. 70% of trees are beetle killed lodge pole pine with 100% of the log being used. Any remaining branches and parts of the trees that are left in the forest which provides vital nutrients back into the soil to help support plant and shrub growth which in turn provides food for our wildlife while maintaining tree regrowth. Lodge Pole Pine trees re-populate within a few years.

GROWING ROOTS SINCE 2012!

 

Colorado Timber Resources broke ground in 2012 in Grand County, Colorado, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. We have grown sustainably over the years and today our sawmill serves many customers nationwide as well as our local communities.

Northern Colorado was hit extremely hard prior to 2012 by the pine beetle, which left approximately 6 million acres of dead and dying Lodge Pole Pine throughout the region. This section of Colorado did not have a current high production sawmill within its fiber basket that could help handle the volume of dead and dying trees that needed to be removed. Our sawmill has helped remove the dead and dying trees while at the same time providing jobs and economic opportunity for our local communities.
