Summary
Responsible for having knowledge of lumber Industry electrical systems. Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze electrical systems by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Troubleshoots and repairs industrial 480 volt electrical system.*
Performs maintenance tasks involving troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading and installations of equipment and production electrical systems with minimal supervision or direction.*
Reads and interprets electrical schematics and ladder logic.*
Plans and runs conduit to include location and bending.*
Understands NEC electrical codes.*
PLC knowledge of relays, variable frequency drives.*
Performs work orders as received.*
Electronic soft start system.*
Works closely with Purchasing Manager for parts ordering.*
Checks electrical systems for issues and repair.*
Knowledge of changing electrical components.*
Maintains and services all electrical systems of the plant.*
Other duties as required.*

Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of design software, order processing systems.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
